Villa Amalia in Lindos gives you the opportunity to spend your holiday in a traditional Lindian House yet still enjoy your modern comforts. The entrance to the villa from the street is through a large wooden door which takes you into the pretty central walled courtyard which is laid with pebble mosaic or choklakia, as were all the courtyards in the village once upon a time. The courtyard at Amalia is a tiny oasis with flowers and greenery and has dining furniture so you can enjoy a glass of wine or a meze al fresco. In keeping with tradition, the accommodation is arranged around and leads off this central courtyard.Villa Amalia can accommodate up to 5 guests. The main room or sala features an attractive modern four-poster style double bed, the separate bedroom includes twin beds and there is a further bedroom with a Lindian style banka; which is a mattress set onto a raised platform, reached by wooden stairs; the banka can accommodate one adult or 2 smallish children.Villa Amalia has a bathroom with tub and shower and a well equipped kitchen. The heart of Lindos village is just 2 minutes’ walk away although the villa is in a really quiet spot.
